Autorenporträt
Dr. Crocker is an immigrant born to an immigrant and on for generations. That wanderlust rubbed off. Her parents moved from the Netherlands to Canada while her mother was expecting her. She has lived in Canada, Iowa, England, California, Texas, and Virginia. Her career has been equally varied. She trained as a scientist in microbiology and immunology and worked in medical research before teaching cell biology, microbiology, and other subjects. She also founded a nonprofit, helped start a technology company, tutored, and worked in communications. Now, she's doing what she loves: enjoying her eight grandchildren, gardening, and writing books-adult books, big kid books, little kid books, and even a book on doing microbiology in your kitchen. Truth that reads like fiction.
