Autorenporträt
Katharine Berry Judson (1860-1929) was an American historian, educator, and novelist who contributed significantly to history and folklore. Their writing assists people in connecting with and understanding one another. Judson's research focused on preserving and recording various Native American tribes' cultural legacies and customs. Born in Chicago, Illinois on September 8, 1860, and died on May 20, 1929. Judson earned her academic credentials at the University of Chicago, where she later became a professor. Her passion for history and ethnology drove her to conduct significant research on Native American cultures, notably their myths, legends, and folklore. One of her most important works is "Myths and Legends of California and the Old Southwest" (1912). In this work of literature, Judson delves into the rich oral traditions of Native American tribes from California and the southwestern United States.
