Autorenporträt
A native of the islands of Hawaii, Journey is a daughter of Queen Lili'uokalani; she is a daughter to Harriet Tubman. Both of their lives can be found in the bold pain, rage, resiliency, and strength of her words. Her experience of spending twenty years on and off spoken word stages shines through in the rhythm of her writing style. A recluse by nature, her work is quiet and calculating. She is an observer.
