The descriptions and analyses we present in this paper focus on the study of negation as a relation in David Mbanga Eyombwan's play Nguma a jemea ou la foi inébranlable de Dualla Manga Bell. In this literary work, negation has a relational value insofar as it brings people together or creates distance between them. Its social impact in interactions is twofold, as a marker of relationship. It either reinforces social harmony or contributes to social fracture.
