Hon-Lun Helan Yang is professor of music at Hong Kong Baptist University. Simo Mikkonen is senior researcher in the Department of History and Ethnology at the University of Jyväskylä. John Winzenburg is professor of music at Hong Kong Baptist University. Frederick Lau is the chair and professor of ethnomusicology and director of the Center for Chinese Studies at the University of Hawai'i at Manoa.
