Michael Embry is the author of 14 books including 10 novels, three nonfiction sports books, and a short-story collection. He spent more than 30 years in the news media, working as an award-winning reporter, sportswriter, and editor for two newspapers, a national news service, and a regional magazine as well as a book editor. He is listed in Who's Who in America. Embry is co-founder, along with fellow Wings author Chris Helvey, of the Bluegrass Writers Coalition. He is a member of several environmental, human rights, animal rescue, and wildlife organizations. His interests include reading, travel, and photography. He lives in Frankfort, Ky., with his wife, Mary, and two rescue dogs, Bailey and Belle.
