The work is devoted to one of the topical problems of modern gynecology and oncology, cervical cancer of the uterus takes the first place in the world among all malignant neoplasms of female genitalia. In the structure of oncological morbidity of female reproductive system of the Republic of Uzbekistan cervical cancer ranks second after breast cancer. Among all oncopathologies cervical cancer in Uzbekistan ranks fifth and makes up 13%. Currently, the diagnosis of cervical cancer is done in a comprehensive manner with the use of clinical, instrumental, laboratory and other methods of investigation, among which ultrasound diagnosis and cytological screening have a special role. The aim of the work was to improve early diagnosis of precancerous and cancerous diseases of the cervix uteri through preventive examinations with colposcopy and cytology. The implementation of the results of the scientific study will reduce the incidence of cervical cancer and decrease the number of female deaths from this disease and its complications.

D.Z. Mamarasulova has been the head of the Department of Oncology since 2011, and is still dealing with oncological problems. During her scientific activity she has published more than 200 scientific papers in the form of articles and theses. Currently she is engaged in preventive oncology. She has published about 7 articles in highly refereed journals based on Scopus.
