Ibrahim Ogirima Salawu obteve o primeiro e o segundo graus no domínio da ciência política na Universidade de Ilorin, na Nigéria. Tem também um doutoramento no mesmo domínio pela Universidade Islâmica Internacional, na Malásia. Atualmente, ensina Ciência Política no Departamento de Política e Governação da Universidade Estatal de Kwara, em Malete, na Nigéria.
