The debut of Ninja Funk marked creator John-Paul “JPG” Paras’ transition from comic retailer to bonafied comic book writer. As the proprietor of “That Spider-Man Booth” and “Street Level Hero LA” in California, JPG found a new level of success as a streamer in the Whatnot community, becoming one of its top comic sellers. But he always had aspirations of making an impact on the creative side of the comic book world. Co-creator of Whatnot Publishing's Ninja Funk, Steve Schuitt is the longtime music collaborator of John-Paul "JPG" Paras and the co-writer on the topselling comic series. After working together creatively for many years, Schuitt and Paras built a world driven by their music and their love of comic books. Texas-based comic book artist, Alex Riegel, works in an offbeat watercolor style all his own. He has contributed cover art to Image Comics, Source Point Press, Heavy Metal, and more. Ninja Funk was his big debut as the lead artist on a series.
