Calvin Seerveld (born 1930) is a Christian philosopher and scholar known for his work in aesthetics and biblical worldview studies. Deeply influenced by the Reformational philosophy of Herman Dooyeweerd and Dirk Vollenhoven, Seerveld emphasized the importance of art and imagination in the life of faith. His writings, including "Rainbows for the Fallen World" and "Bearing Fresh Olive Leaves", advocate for a distinctly Christian approach to culture, arguing that artistic expression should be a joyful and integral part of God's creation mandate. His work has shaped generations of artists and thinkers within the Reformed tradition.
