CaCO3 amounted to 0.27-0.35 pH units. Liming with the use of ameliorate on the basis of carbide lime had a reliable increase in grain yield of spring barley by 2.6-6.1 c/ha. This was due to an increase in the weight of 1000 seeds by 2.9-11.4 g. Recoupment of 1 ton of ameliorate on the basis of carbide lime kg of spring barley grain was 70.0-130.0 kg. At that, the maximum yield of 1 ton of ameliorate was obtained from the dose of 2 t/ha.
