Although numerical modeling of construction processes in foundation engineering is becoming increasingly important, until recently, often the simulation of the construction procedure was neglected in the calculations. The modeling of such construction processes, which are often connected with large deformation of the soil and with strong changes in the structure of the soil around the construction plant - e.g. a drill, a bit, a vibrator - makes new methods in numerical modeling necessary.
