In the early 1990s, Manchester, England, was a city brimming with music, culture, and possibility. Out of this vibrant backdrop emerged a band that would go on to define an era and carve their place in rock history: Oasis. It all began in 1991 when Liam Gallagher, a charismatic and fiery young musician, teamed up with guitarist Paul "Bonehead" Arthurs, bassist Paul "Guigsy" McGuigan, and drummer Tony McCarroll to form a new band. The group quickly started making noise in Manchester's thriving music scene, but they needed a spark-something to set them apart from the countless other acts vying for attention. Liam turned to his older brother, Noel Gallagher. Noel, a talented guitarist and songwriter with a vault of original compositions, joined the band a few months after its formation. From that moment, the group solidified into the Oasis the world would come to know and love. With Noel as the creative force behind their music, the band found its identity, blending raw, anthemic rock with a swaggering attitude that captured the spirit of their generation.
