This was a prospective study of 47 cases of obstructive renal failure over a 12-month period from April 2022 to March 2023. Our study included all patients with obstructive renal failure seen in hospital and operated on or not operated on in the Urology Department of CHU GT. Data entry and analysis were performed with word 2013, Excel 2013, SPSS version 25.0 and data collection with Kobo collect. It was established that: obstructive renal failure represents 6.73% of surgical activity in Urology CHU GT. The mean patient age was 57.34 ± 21.81 years, with a sex ratio of 1.93. Our patients consulted for dysuria and pollakiuria + lumbago in 23.4% and 21.3% of cases respectively. Bladder globe was observed in 25.5% of patients. Mean creatinine was 635.38±1488.37 mimol/L, with extremes ranging from 126 to 9999 mimol/L. Uricemia was elevated in 96.8% of patients. Ultrasound was performed in 51.1% of cases. Bladder catheterization was the most commonly used type of emergency urinary drainage, accounting for 61.7%.
