Magnus Fleming never believed in dragons-until the night one nearly cost him his life. A jaded scholar buried in the dusty myths of medieval England, Magnus is obsessed with unraveling the secrets behind a centuries-old painting: Saint George and the Dragon. Late one night, tucked away in a London library, he stumbles upon a forgotten message inked in ancient script: "Here's the secret that lies deep within; only the chosen will find it." Moments later, a fatal car accident should have ended his story. Instead, it begins a new one. Magnus awakens in a strange land, not as himself, but as Lord Magnus Flemington, Earl of Kensington-an aristocrat in the kingdom of Caga, where dragons once roamed, the skies still whisper magic, and political alliances are written in blood and betrothal. Haunted by fragments of a life he no longer lives, Magnus is thrust into a world of rigid titles, whispered court secrets, and a royal engagement to a princess he's never met. But it's the quiet maid with storm-gray eyes-Casey-who stirs something deeper. She's elusive, clever, and far more than she seems. As Magnus unravels the mystery behind his strange reincarnation, he learns that Casey carries her hidden past-one bound to the crown, the dragons, and perhaps to Magnus himself. But with ancient forces awakening and loyalties tested, their bond threatens to ignite a war that could consume not only their kingdom, but time itself. In a land where myths breathe and monarchies burn, Magnus must choose: Return to the world he knew-or fight for the one he never dared to dream.
Autorenporträt
Nikki Larousse, who was reared in northeastern Malaysia, has always been enthralled with mythology from all around the world. She would always return to the escapism she found in writing things down, even if she had to focus on reality and pursue her higher education and work-life balance on the side. The majority of her creations are rooted in notorious Western myths, legends, and folklore. She does, however, also incorporate Malay folklore from her cultural background into her stories. So, if you dare to dream of cunning heroes and fierce heroines who battle together to achieve their happily ever-afters, enter her realms of Larouverse.
