Of Things Just and Unjust is a novella that presents a kaleidoscopic view of justice and/or injustice in a variety of contexts, primarily under the law but also in life, in love, and even in relation to God. The book provides much food for thought, all initiated by the killing of a service station/mini-market owner over a six-pack of beer.

Autorenporträt
The author, Peter L. Spinetta, is a retired California Superior Court judge, sitting full-time in Contra Costa County for 18 years, then serving as an assigned judge up and down the State of California for another 14 years until 2022. He is the author of The Call, a courtroom drama that dealt with a judge's commitment to the law--and to his wife--while presiding over the death penalty trial of a young Catholic defendant who had killed a doctor and nurse who were in the process of aborting a child he had fathered with an older, married woman with whom he had had an affair. His new book, Of Things Just and Unjust, presents a kaleidoscopic view of justice and/or injustice in many contexts, legal and otherwise, all initiated by the killing of a service station mini-market owner over a six-pack of beer. Both books provide much to think about on many scores.
