They embark on their journey and encounter many dangers and adventures along the way. Although they question the existence of the gold in the beginning, they continue their search. They soon learn that the search was more important than the gold, and not all treasure is yellow and glittery. It might even be a curly-haired girl in a watermelon patch.

Nelda Ellen Carter Lowrance is a retired elementary and college teacher. She enjoys playing tournament bridge, knitting and watching college sports. She is the Director of Music for her church and lives in a retirement community in Tullahoma, TN with her Yorkie, Sara. She was born and raised in Western Oklahoma near the Old Western Cattle Trail. She has written a trilogy of romance novels as well as a young adult novel, My Daddy Was A Real Cowboy.
