Sarah Kay (Author) Sarah Kay is a writer, performer and educator from New York City. After becoming the youngest poet to compete at the National Poetry Slam in 2006, Kay has gone on to perform at HBO's Def Poetry Jam, the Lincoln Centre, Carnegie Hall, the Tribeca Film Festival and the United Nations. Sarah is the author of four books of poetry: No Matter the Wreckage, B, The Type and All Our Wild Wonder. She is also the founder and co-director of Project VOICE, an organisation that uses poetry to entertain, educate, and empower students and educators in classrooms and communities worldwide. Ryan Johnson (Illustrator) Ryan Johnson is an illustrator based in Brooklyn, NY. His illustrations have been published in The New Yorker, GQ, and The New York Times, and have been called eccentric, inventive, vibrant and exaggerated. Ryan has been recognised by American Illustration, 3×3 and the Society of Illustrators. He keeps busy drawing and plein air painting, drinking coffee, playing cribbage, and obsessing over podcasts, but mostly he makes illustrations.
