But I could never understand why God would allow all this to happen to me. I wasn't the best kid in the world, but I never did anything that deserved any of the crap this life dealt me. I fought to find out my reason for being alive, and I nearly gave up. I wanted to die. But when I waited for God's time, things finally started to look up. He was there all along. For the first time, I have written down everything, and I share it with you in hopes that God can use my story to help you. Once upon a Me is my story of the person I once was and who God made me into today.

Emma grew up in the 'Average American Christian family'. From the outside, everyone thought her family and life was perfect. What no one saw was pure chaos. Her parents were divorcing, her father was physically and verbally abusive, and he lost his job, resulting in her family losing everything. Being the oldest child, Emma was forced to grow up and learn to stand without a safety net.Emma had always been told who God was, but had to truly discover God on her own. With him by her side, she grew up to become a success Software engineer. Her Emma's sisters and Emma earned college degrees and are successful adults.Emma shares her story with the world to encourage others. No one is perfect and we can't do things on our own. Be insipired and choose to challenge yourself and others around you. Trust in God.
