One Glorious Day, by Joe Sugarek, is a compilation of stories about his grandfather, Robert James Holbein, and his adventures on a working cattle ranch. "He was as tough as the cattle he raised in a very unforgiving South Texas environment. The stories told about him paint a portrait of a very colorful man whose flaws were even filled with character." The author, Joe Sugarek, is a fifth generation Texan whose ancestors settled in South Texas in the mid-1800's. His maternal second great-grandparents, Reuben and Sarah Holbein, emigrated from England and were instrumental in the settling of Corpus Christi and the Wild Horse Desert. Joe currently lives in Dallas and is a 44 year veteran of the advertising industry, artist, and author. HOPE KELLEY BOOK PUBLISHING
