April Pulley Sayre (1966 -2021) created over forty natural history books for children, several of them award-winning. Together with her husband, Jeff Sayres, she led eco-tours and travelled extensively to study, photograph and film animals. She is the co-author of the counting-by-feet book One is a Snail, Ten is a Crab.
