This inspiring memoir tells the story of Dr. Charles T. Krebs, whose extraordinary life was transformed by a devastating scuba diving accident that left him paraplegic. Though the damage was deemed irreversible, Charles applied his knowledge of anatomy, his ability to focus qi, and his unrelenting willpower to achieve what everyone thought was impossible. His journey led to the development of a groundbreaking healing method known as LEAP (Life Enhancement Acupressure Protocols). Woven with humor, curiosity, and resilience, this book begins with stories from Charles' early years, explores the trials of his injury and recovery, and reveals how he created a global healing system rooted in energetic kinesiology. Charles shares how a crisis became the catalyst for innovation-leading to an approach that has helped thousands with learning difficulties, neurological challenges, and emotional blocks. He and coauthor Martha Nigro invite readers into a life lived fully, broken open, and reimagined in service to others.
Dr. Charles T. Krebs is a pioneering scientist, author, and founder of the Life Enhancement Acupressure Protocols (LEAP). With a background in marine biology and decades of experience in energetic kinesiology, he is internationally recognized for developing LEAP and for bridging the gap between Eastern energetic models and Western neuroscience.Charles was a scientist from the start-fascinated by the world and how it worked, both in nature and in people. That early curiosity led to a PhD in marine biology and a respected academic and research career. But everything changed when a severe case of thebends after scuba diving in Australia left him projected to remain paraplegic for life.Drawing on his scientific training, knowledge of qi, and sheer determination, Charles defied expectations-regaining the ability to walk, and launching a lifelong mission to help others. His work has helped thousands of people across multiple continents, relieving learning difficulties, emotional trauma, and neurological challenges.Charles has taught practitioners worldwide and authored or co-authored books on energetic kinesiology, brain nutrition, and his own life's journey. In his later years, as his health declined, he found joy in sharing stories, sparking laughter, and continuing to help others. Through his work, his teaching, and now his memoir, Charles' enduring legacy lives on-in science, in healing, and in the countless lives he helped transform._____________________________________Martha W.
