Regardless of who occupies the Oval Office, who has the majority in Congress, or who sits on the Supreme Court—America urgently needs our prayers. Natural disasters. Violent crime and civil unrest. Political divisiveness. Crumbling mental health. A continuous shift away from God and the Bible as the foundation for our morality and values. And so much more… A cursory scroll through today’s news headlines can make even the strongest Christian despair and feel hopeless. Make no mistake—we’re in a spiritual battle. But even when we’re weary from the fight, we can trust in two powerful weapons: God’s Word and prayer. One Nation Under God encourages believers who love America to pray for its citizens and leaders. Each devotional provides opportunities to engage in a meaningful, effective spiritual practice: · A Bible verse or passage that speaks to an issue facing America, · A devotional reading that discusses how the text relates to us today, · A prompt to use as inspiration for prayer, · Reflection questions that help you explore the concepts more deeply, and · Journaling space to capture your question responses and personal prayers. Christians disagree on many issues, but one thing we all agree on is that prayer works. And what better way to serve our country and our fellow Americans than to pray for them?
