Born in Dixon, Illinois, I encountered lots of wildlife in my backyard in my childhood. Opposable Thumbs is a tribute to my dad and my grandparents. It is where the big bang theory meets total faithfulness in God! I am sharing my dad's dad's (my grandfather's) poem on page 54. I incorporate my love of both which lends itself easily to philosophical topics and discussions.
