Now-a-day the applications of digital video growing rapidly. This generate huge amount of video data which are very complicated task for storing, processing and transmitting video sequences. Furthermore, growing the demand for enhanced user experience are getting smaller size of devices capable of performing operations of video processing. H.264 is an international video coding standard which compresses high quality video content at low bitrates for wide range of video applications. It uses state-of-the-art coding tools and provide enhanced efficiency of coding to provide higher capabilities of compression with high perceptual quality. These capabilities have also affected to increase in complexity while implementing H.264 in real-time applications. This book comprises two proposed block-based motion estimation for video compression. This proposed algorithm was better algorithm amongst 10 algorithms (described in this book) simulated from the point of view of lowest number of searching points and quality of video (PSNR value).
