Byron B. Renz, Ph.D., Wayne State University, has served as a major-market broadcaster and a university professor of mass communication. He has also held Fulbright lectureships at the University of Latvia and Rigas Stradina University in Riga and at Belarusian State University in Minsk. Dr. Renz's current research interests focus on the interrelationship of media and society and include persuasive and expository writing.
