Ævar þór Benediktsson is an author from Iceland. He is Iceland's first UNICEF Ambassador and is known for launching popular nationwide reading challenges to encourage Icelandic children and teenagers to read more. He is the author of more than 35 books. AevarWritesBooks.com Lóa Hlín Hjálmtýsdóttir is an illustrator and children's book author. She holds a BFA in Fine Arts from the Iceland Academy of The Arts and an MA in creative writing from The University of Iceland. She also studied illustration at Parsons School of Design in New York City. Lóa lives in Reykjavík, Iceland.
