Pansy the Poodle and her best human friend Avery are famous for solving mysteries all over the world. As a reward for their good deeds, they take a sightseeing trip to New York—where they stumble into a brand new adventure. Fourth in the series of Pansy the Poodle Mystery Series of kids' books. Pansy in New York is perfect for developing reading skills in young emergent readers age 3-7. Morris, the famous talking monkey, has disappeared from the Central Park Zoo! Join Pansy and Avery as they follow the clues, solve the mystery, and get Morris back to his friends and family. Parents, teachers and librarians appreciate the heirloom-quality oversized hardcover with its extra thick pages and splendid full color illustrations.
Cynthia Bardes’s inspiration for the Pansy Mystery Series was born out of random misfortune. One day, when crossing Wilshire Boulevard, Bardes was struck by a car. Her injuries required surgery and a lengthy recuperation at the hotel. While bedridden, her vivid imagination and Pansy's popularity with employees and guests of the hotel made for a perfect story. Pansy at the Palace was followed by Pansy in Paris, Pansy in Venice, and now Pansy in New York. A graduate of Sarah Lawrence College, Bardes is a former dress designer and interior decorator. When not in Los Angeles, she, her husband, and Pansy live in Vero Beach, Florida. Virginia Best is an artist whose paintings and photographs have been exhibited nationally. She lives with her husband in Eden, Vermont.
