""Parallels is a poetic reflection on movement-of the Earth and the human spirit. Seasons shape the Earth, just as emotions shape us. As seasons turn, so do we. In nature's quiet rhythm, we find mirrors of our own: the stillness of winter, the bloom of spring, the blaze of summer, the ache of monsoon, and the longing of autumn. Each section of this book unfolds through both the Earth's gaze and the Traveller's heart, tracing how emotions, like seasons, shift us. ""Palak Gupta is a writer, birder, and zoologist from India, inspired by the ebb and flow of nature and the human spirit. Her path winds through wild wetlands and quiet mountains, always accompanied by a pen- whether she's writing or shaping letters in calligraphy. A passionate birder and wildlife photographer, Palak captures what often escapes the eye through her lens, believing birding is how she listens to nature and writing is how she gives it voice. With a background in eco-reforestation, she now turns to poetry-not to leave the world behind, but to enter it more deeply-into landscapes unseen, but no less real. Beyond the page, Palak is also a national gold medalist and black belt in Taekwondo, having trained students who went on to win medals themselves. Her journey moves between practice mats and poetry-where discipline, art, and purpose meet. She believes stories are shaped by both ink and experience. Parallels, her debut poetry collection, reflects a quiet exploration that moves beyond footsteps-seeking not just sights, but insights.
