Abschluss in Theologie an der Methodistischen Universität von São Paulo (1982); Master in Biblischer Theologie am Instituto Superior de Estudios Teológicos - Argentinien (1990); Doktorat in Pädagogik an der Methodistischen Universität von Piracicaba - UNIMEP (2010). Er ist Dekan für Extension und Community Affairs an der UNIMEP und Ehrenbischof der Methodistischen Kirche.
