Penboyr (Welsh: Penboyr) is a hamlet (place) in the county of Carmarthenshire in west Wales consisting of a number of houses, smallholdings, farms and a church."This is a small area within modern Carmarthenshire consisting of regular rectangular fields and dispersed farms.
