Human beings think they know what they are capable of. They believe that they could not escape from the police, that they would never harm a child. I couldn't kill my parents, whatever they do, they gave me life. Or I would never go as far as rape. I wouldn't be able to accelerate behind the wheel on a bridge with my children in the car and fall into the void. But we said all that before. We are not capable, it is true, crime is unthinkable to us, until we act. Losing the trial tells the story of a robbery, an appropriation, an arson. This work is the journey of a kidnapping where life is seen as the preparation of an escape. As Harwicz says, you write a novel when you disagree with the meaning of the words, when stopping the lying is impossible.
