Sie verfügt über umfangreiche Erfahrung auf dem Gebiet der Pflanzenphysiologie, insbesondere der Photosynthese. Sie hat rund 100 Original-Forschungsartikel in renommierten internationalen Fachzeitschriften veröffentlicht, 14 Doktoranden und viele M.Phil- und Masterstudenten betreut.
