Zia Marshall, an Indian poet, resides in a bustling urban hub of south India. She often seeks refuge in the verdant landscape and misty hills of the Nilgiris, where she finds inspiration for her evocative verses. Marshall holds a doctorate in English Literature and is a Learning Designer and Communication Specialist. She published a course on Time Management for Productivity and Work-Life Balance at Udemy with a user base of 16k students. After decades of writing and designing e-learning courseware for competency development and professional growth, she decided to focus on creative writing. Marshall's literary journey has been marked by a commitment to capturing both the light and darkness of life with unflinching honesty and grace. Her poetry and short stories, imbued with sensitivity and depth, have found homes in prestigious literary journals and anthologies. In her debut poetry collection From Breaking to Blooming (2023), Marshall invites readers to journey through the depths of the human heart, from moments of shattered vulnerability to the radiant blossoming of resilience and growth.
