Professor Xiuli Wang is Chief Physician at Shanghai Skin Disease Hospital and a doctoral advisor in Dermatology and Venereology at Tongji University. She serves on the Board of Directors of the International Photodynamic Association (IPA) and holds multiple leadership roles, including Chief Expert of the Photodynamic Therapy Research Center of the Chinese Medical Association, Chair of the Chinese Association of Rehabilitation Dermatology, and Director of the Institute of Photomedicine at Tongji University School of Medicine.  With over 30 years of experience in photodynamic therapy (PDT) for skin diseases, Prof. Wang has led advancements in expanding clinical indications, optimizing treatment parameters, investigating underlying mechanisms, and promoting the integration of PDT into dermatologic practice in China. She has published more than 370 articles, including over 230 peer-reviewed papers in English. Prof. Wang has authored five editions of clinical guidelines and expert consensus documents on 5-aminolevulinic acid PDT, establishing standardized protocols and a quality control scoring system for its use in dermatology. She has received 23 research grants, including five from the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), and has earned ten national or provincial awards. She has also hosted nine Shanghai International Photodynamic and Photomedicine Forums and actively participated in eight IPA conferences, where she has served as co-chair and speaker. She is currently leading the organization and preparation of the 2025 IPA Congress. Dr. Bo Wang is a board-certified dermatologist and Mohs surgeon at Avera Medical Group in South Dakota USA. He also serves as Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of South Dakota Sanford School of Medicine and Assistant Professor in Dermatology at the Idaho College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Wang completed his dermatology residency at the University of Michigan and holds both an M.D. from Shanghai Jiao Tong University and a Ph.D. in Neuroscience from the University of Michigan. With over 70 peer-reviewed publications, Dr. Wang has made significant contributions to dermatologic research, particularly in photodynamic therapy, acne, cutaneous oncology, and immune-mediated skin diseases. He has co-authored clinical guidelines on 5-aminolevulinic acid photodynamic therapy and has published in top dermatology and translational journals. He has served on various committees of the American Academy of Dermatology. Dr. Wang is a regular reviewer for leading journals including JAAD, BJD and JEADV. Dr. Wang has received numerous awards for research and clinical excellence and has presented at national and international conferences. His work bridges translational science and clinical practice, with a focus on advancing innovative therapies in dermatology.
