"I chase after the light, framing nature's moments in that vast lake garden, not far from where I live. From my wanderings there, I have stories to tell. I'll share them as photos and poems." These opening lines unveil the heart of the book - an evocative collection of observations and reflections drawn from time spent near the lake. Through vivid photography and poetic language, the author offers fleeting glimpses of life: flora and fauna, passing strangers, the environment, nature during the COVID-19 pandemic, the unchanging moon, and memories triggered by what he saw. Though not a poet by training, he composed more than 30 poems to accompany over 90 of his own photographs, weaving nature-inspired stories with sincerity. The author Robert Ang wrestled with equations and theories, dabbled in philosophy, and devoured countless television dramas and historical novels during his younger days as an indoor person. Now older, he roams through lush landscapes to stay fit, capturing the beauty of scenery, sky, wildlife, and flowers with a camera.
