The independent variables feeding the models were commercial-scale production data.

Die Autoren dieses Buches sind Forschungsprofessoren an der Autonomen Universität Chapingo in der Abteilung für Trockenzonen im Norden Mexikos und haben bereits mehrere Bücher über die Umweltökonomie der Wassereffizienz und -produktivität in physischer, wirtschaftlicher und sozialer Hinsicht für Landwirtschaft und Viehzucht veröffentlicht.
