Carlos Andrés García is an environmental specialist with over 14 years of experience in climate change, sustainability, and international cooperation. He has led and managed projects aimed at fostering resilience, poverty reduction, and environmental sustainability. Currently serving as a Climate Change Consultant, Carlos has designed and supervised numerous climate change adaptation projects, securing international funding from bodies such as the Nordic Fund, USAID, and the Green Climate Fund. Throughout his career, Carlos has written numerous scientific articles focused on conservation programs, climate development, and environmental governance. His publications have contributed significantly to advancing knowledge in areas such as climate resilience, marine conservation, and environmental governance. Carlos's professional journey includes his work as a senior consultant for international development banks, where he assessed climate-resilient solutions for sectors like ports, coastal infrastructure, and agriculture. His expertise extends to navigating international environmental standards, promoting Nature-Based Solutions (NbS), and managing large-scale conservation programs. He has played a pivotal role in enhancing the environmental governance of protected areas and supporting local communities in adaptation strategies. In addition to his work in project management, Carlos holds a Master's in Environmental Economics from the University of Western Brittany in France and a Bachelor's in Business Administration from Colombia. He is also a certified Climate Change Officer. His dedication to sustainable development, along with his extensive writing and research experience, makes him a key contributor to climate action efforts across Latin America and globally.
