Whether you're a child or an adult who has remained young at heart and looks back at your childhood with fond memories "Play Me a Tale" is for you. If neither of these apply fear-not, perhaps a story filled with childlike innocence and imaginative play will whisk you away into a world you once knew. As a child, did you ever spend countless hours in make-believe worlds? Did you go on daring adventures or travel through time? Did you face challenges and learn to overcome fears? Did you spend time deepening family bonds through hours of play? Do you wish there was a magical music box that could bring your imagination to life? What could possibly go wrong? Would you like to see what one remarkable young girl does with such a music box? Perhaps your imagination took you to other planets, turned your room into a cave or allowed your toys to talk, it doesn't matter. Let the magic of this story inspire you or help you reminisce of days gone by. Come along as Nina's belief in magic takes her on an adventure of a lifetime. BACK COVER INFORMATION: What would you do if there was a way to turn your childhood play into reality? Nina was born with quite an exceptional imagination. Before she could speak, her endless babbling with her toys amused her parents. Over the years Nina's creative play would help her parents remember when they were little and how they too could spend hours in a make-believe world. Wherever Nina was, she would find a way to have the most remarkable adventures. Her family treasured how her pure heart made her playtime so fun and entertaining. Nina soon began to remind them of her Great-Grandma Ruth, who had quite the astonishing imagination. Ruth passed before Nina was born and it wasn't until Grandma's move did they rediscover a family heirloom. A music box that had been treasured by Ruth. Memories of the magical music box came flooding back, but the adults believed it was merely childish belief. Even the magic words, "Play me a tale," seemed like nothing more than a cute phrase. Was that really all it was or was there some truth in the magic of the music box? Would Nina be able to uncover the truth? Was it truly possible for the music box to bring her playtime to life?
Autorenporträt
Mrs. Stevens grew up constantly asking her parents "Why?" causing her dad to repeatedly ask her if she was writing a book. Well, after all these years the answer to that all too familiar question is "yes." As a mother of four she put her inquisitive mind and imagination to good use. The creative writing classes she took for fun helped her come up with bedtime stories for her children. When the stories blossomed into family favorites she began sharing them with friends and neighbors. She was thrilled when neighbors would show up unexpectedly wanting to borrow a story for their children's bedtime. With her children growing Mrs. Stevens ventured from cute bedtime stories to ones that were better suited for older children. Many years later and after some prompting from a friend she entered one of her favorite short stories in a writing contest. When the story was selected as a winner she decided to expand upon the story, creating her first published books "The Legend of Dalton Manor Series." After years of writing for family and friends Mrs. Stevens was thrilled to have her books published on Amazon KDP. In order to expand her sells paperback versions of her existing and future books will be available. With the help of IngramSpark Mrs. Stevens plans to go wide with her books.
