Poems About Education is a collection of poems that Michael Rosen has been writing for the magazines of the former National Union of Teachers and now the amalgamated union, the National Education Union. They are a mix of punchy, satirical, regretful, and a call to action, but always sharp, to the point, and full of ironic observation. They are to be enjoyed, shared, and used for staffrooms, meetings, and discussions.

Most of my business life has been spent as a V.P. Ad Agency Creative Director. Now I am shifting gears to writing what fills my heart instead of what fills my wallet. I started as a young Art Director who loved words. So, when I was searching for conceptual advertising ideas, I would always start by creating a sales message or headline, which would then excite my visual imagination. My influence was a Madison Avenue Agency President who attended Seminary College where he studied to become a priest. He could speak and read Latin and had a dictionary-like vocabulary. His words could be great weapons or a symphony of music to my ears. Under his tutelage I won almost every advertising award the field offered. They included Clio's, Andy Awards, One Club, and NY Art Director Club Awards. With the advent of the internet, digital communications became king, allowing more efficient ways to reach and influence an audience. At the same time, visual tools became commodities, and the ability to write, influence, and communicate became the measure of my success. After 10 years, I left to operate my ad agency on Long Island. During that time, I became the President of the Long Island Ad Club, and a Marketing / Creativity guest lecturer at Briarcliff College, Stony Brook, and Farmingdale Universities.I now live in TN, where I am devoting my time to writing children's PBs, and one about the crazy amount of famous people born in Brooklyn, NY between 1860-1960.
