Anthony Laney is the founding partner of Laney LA, a Los Angeles-based architecture studio known for crafting timeless, contemporary residences across California. His work investigates the emotional and experiential dimensions of home, earning recognition from the AIALA and publications such as Architectural Digest, Dwell, and Dezeen. A dedicated advocate for creative collaboration, Anthony frequently speaks on architecture and entrepreneurship, and has taught design communication and drawing at the USC School of Architecture. The Poetics of Home is his debut book--a visual meditation on nine residences that explore how architecture can shape identity, memory, and belonging. Sam Lubell is Editor at Large at Metropolis. He has written more than ten books about architecture for Phaidon, Rizzoli, The Monacelli Press, and Metropolis Books. He writes for The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, Fast Company, Architectural Digest, Wallpaper, Dwell, and other publications. He has co-curated four major architecture exhibitions and taught at Syracuse University School of Architecture, Columbia University GSAPP, and Arizona State University The Design School.
