Providing a theoretical discussion on scale as a social construct and a method in Critical Heritage Studies. Discussing multifaceted meanings of scale that are not only about levels such as global, national, and local, but also about spatialized social and cultural borders and border-crossings and about scale in digital platforms.
Yujie Zhu is a Lecturer in the Centre for Heritage and Museum Studies at the Australian National University. His research focuses on heritage, tourism, memory, religious practices and cultural politics.
