"A tangled web of characters, backstories, and motivations in the vein of a Stephen King epic. And much like that, you won't be able to stop turning the pages." -Luke Swanson, author of Epicenter Take a bribe, meet your maker. Imagine if someone recorded politicians accepting bribes. Or, an execution squad murdered corrupt legislators on camera, then broadcast politicians' wrongdoings. What if politicians actually feared retribution for accepting payola? Consider the seismic reverberations which would occur within the DC infrastructure if politicians feared dishonesty and graft. Could our current government still run as our founding fathers intended? Those questions drive the conflict at the center of Politikill, a thriller that grapples with timely issues around the broken political system in Washington, DC. Only Rice University History Professor Erasmus Luther understands that history is indeed repeating itself, and more importantly POWER does not share secrets.
Autorenporträt
Tim's earliest jobs included frying chicken, mixing cow chips with peat moss to create rich manure , and stacking pallets of fertilizer. Not a cowboy or redneck (Tim would consider either a compliment) but a small-town country kid. While most storytellers claim to be influenced by other authors, Tim's influences include country music singers / legends Hank Williams Jr., Tanya Tucker, Charlie Daniels, Charley Pride, Charlie Rich, George Jones, George Strait, and Merle Haggard. "I was five years old, standing in a smokey juke-joint, when I first heard Charley Pride's Kiss and Angel Food Mornin'. I remember the words becoming images in my head, like a movie, more story to me than song. I aspire for my novels to embrace that rhythm, storytelling, emotional gut punch, and ironic beauty."
