Portraits of Karl Marx: A Cycle of Drawings As an artist, I explore various disciplines, including painting, photography, sculpture, installations, and conceptual art. Recently, I completed a project focusing on Karl Marx's portraits. Description of the Work The true value lies in the book that compiles the drawings, transforming it into a conceptual piece. The printed book, with its serial reproducibility and continuous presentation of two drawings per page, holds the conceptual significance. Modern technologies were fundamental in creating the original graphics through a digital program. Concept The project explores Karl Marx's impact on modern society. Each portrait results from variations and interpretations using artificial intelligence algorithms, reflecting the multiple readings of his figure in a contemporary context. The Drawing's Technique The technique aims to convey the purity and essence of the stroke, highlighting Marx's features. The colors and lines are carefully calibrated to create a captivating visual effect that stimulates critical reflection. Artist's Book as a Work of Art A small artist's book contains many portraits from the cycle. This book is considered a work of art, reflecting my vision of art as a tangible and personal experience, inviting readers into an intimate dialogue with the images and ideas. Conclusion This cycle of works is a tribute to Marx and an exploration of digital technologies' potential. It represents a meeting point between past and present, tradition and innovation, inviting reflection on the multiple facets of Marx as an influential figure in modern history.
