Autorenporträt
Kate Strasburg had wanted to be a writer since she was six but was discouraged by parents who said she would have to win the Pulitzer Prize. Instead, she became a teacher of German and French and did an odd assortment of things until she found her life's mission in her fifties, writing for her own nonprofit, which offered comfort to those dealing with life-threatening illness. Now in her eighties, Kate was clearing out her storage locker recently when she discovered a group of poems she had written thirty-three years ago while navigating a painful divorce. Her therapist urged her to self-publish them in order to help others similarly challenged. She continues to write, delighted to have rediscovered her childhood dream.
