Treating Titus 2:10, which exhorts us to "adorn the doctrine of God our Saviour in all things," Practical Godliness is a call to live each day according to the promises of the gospel and the precepts of the law. It is not enough to confess right doctrine. True faith produces a faithfulness that displays the beauty of Christ in the life of His people. Recognizing that too many professing Christians lose sight of the beauty of holiness and idolize their physical appearance, Alsop appends a sixty-seven-page treatment of modesty, clothing, and fashion titled "The Sinfulness of Strange Apparel." Would you adorn the doctrines of God? Let this noble Puritan be your guide.
