The changes that took place in the education and health sectors in the 20th century influenced the conceptions and practices of health professionals, especially in Primary Health Care (PHC), highlighting the importance of professional training and qualification for improving health care, based on social realities and the needs of the population. This book describes the analysis of the training and qualification profile of Family Health Strategy (FHS) professionals and the factors associated with the quality of PHC services in a health district located in the capital of a state in the central-western region of Brazil. We believe that the content of this book will be of interest to health professors and academics, SUS managers and workers and social control actors and that it can contribute to the reorientation of teaching and services, to the qualification of educational processes in health work and, consequently, to the quality of health and life of the population, positively impacting the communities served, which is the main purpose of health work.
