A. "Mississippi" Alexander grew up on a farm in the segregated South, raised by his grandparents. At the young age of four, he dreamed of becoming a doctor. When he shared his aspirations, his grandfather asked, "And then what happens?" This question sparked Mississippi's gift for storytelling, with his grandfather as his biggest supporter."Mississippi" graduated from Northwestern University with multiple engineering degrees and later earned a medical doctorate from the University of Illinois at Chicago, and several board-certification specialties. His college friends gave him the nickname as he was the only black student from Mississippi in his freshman class. His unique "country" accent and style made him stand out, and the name stuck. The COVID-19 pandemic shutdowns reignited "Mississippi's" passion for storytelling, allowing him to incorporate his professional experience and hobbies, such as flying, golf, chess, and basketball, into his tales. If you come across him at the 19th hole, don't hesitate to ask him, "...and then what happened?"
