Tony Becher was a key figure in British higher education research. Maurice Kogan was Professor of Government and Social Administration at Brunel University for more than 25 years, was a distinguished contributor to the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and was editor of its journal, Higher Education Management.
