Progress in Hydrogen Production via Sonolysis Processes highlights recent developments in numerical and experimental hydrogen production by ultrasound (sonolysis). The book serves as a comprehensive and quick reference with a high-level historical review of the technology, detailed technical descriptions, and the latest experimental and numerical achievements. It reviews hydrogen production technologies, sonolysis, and ultrasound-assisted processes and examines numerical acoustic cavitation (bubble sonochemistry) for hydrogen sono-production. Other sections cover cutting-edge computational research and its benefits for understanding multiple issues related to the use of ultrasound as an innovative clean technology for hydrogen production. Issues covered range from the mechanism of sonochemical production, the factors and phenomena that influence it, intensification techniques, and the active bubble population (number and size) in sonicated water.
